Beginning Again
In June last year, I launched Love From Paul.
It was something I had been building for years with care, a concept shaped by a belief that home is not just where we live, but how we feel when we are there, something to curate and nurture. The response was warm and encouraging, people connected with the products, especially the home fragrance range, and it felt like the beginning of something meaningful.
And then, everything stopped.
Not long after the launch, days in fact, a lump was found on my kidney. I later had the kidney removed and discovered it was cancer. Life shifted quickly and completely. The focus became simple: to heal, to rest, to take each day as it came.
I am very grateful to say the cancer was contained within the kidney, and having it removed meant I did not need any further treatment. For that, I am deeply grateful.
During that time, home became something different.
It was no longer just the inspiration behind my work; it became my place of recovery, of stillness, of comfort. The small things I had always believed in, light, scent, atmosphere, took on a deeper meaning. They were not just details; they became part of how I moved through each day and restored myself.
Lighting a candle in the evening, opening a window to let the air shift, creating a space that felt calm and nourishing, these moments mattered in a way they hadn’t before.
They helped me heal.
And in that space, my connection to Love From Paul changed.
What began as a creative project became something more grounded, more intentional. A reminder that home is not something to be taken for granted, it is something we build, gently and consciously, every day through many decisions, both big and small.
Getting well took longer than I had hoped, but I am returning to this work with a renewed sense of purpose.
Love From Paul is still what it always was, a collection of thoughtful pieces designed to help you create a home that feels calm, meaningful, and truly yours. But now, it carries something deeper too, a lived understanding of just how important that feeling of home can be.
This is a quiet relaunch.
A continuation, rather than a restart.
And an invitation to come back to what matters.
Love From
